TOM URIE

NEW SIGNING !!!! Album out NOW!

Actor Tom Urie, best known for his role as River City’s resident musician Big Bob,  is releasing his first album on the Music Kitchen label

Tom’s album is a superb blend of self-penned songs and his favourite covers, several of which he has already performed on the hugely popular BBC TV Scotland’s soap drama.

The album contains a number of unique collaborations on several tracks including duets with renowned Scottish vocalist Eddi Reader, Pop Idol Winner Michelle McManus plus guest lead guitar from Scottish rugby legend John Beattie.

As usual the album is co produced by The Music Kitchen’s legendary Stuart ‘Woody’ Wood who has also arranged a beautiful poignant version of No 1 UK hit “Bye Bye Baby” featuring great vocals by Tom and an amazing soprano sax solo by Fraser Fifield

Tom himself has a rich musical pedigree - in addition to being signed as a writer to the UK’s most successful independent music publisher Hornall Brothers Music, he has provided vocals for many top selling artists including Mylo and Runrig and recently supported Tom Jones at The Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow

We  have scored/worked on two Scottish chart toppers the last few years and are hoping to make Tom’s album a hat trick.

Label boss Gordon Campbell says :

“Given Tom’s amazing musical ability combined with his high profile made it a no brainer when deciding to sign him. We are excited to be working with Tom and feel he has huge potential both here and overseas”
